Bespoke art tours of New York City’s finest architecture, auction houses, galleries and museums for adults and children
New York City is the art capital of the world. So how do you navigate it? Where do you start? How do you know where to go and what to see?
That is where Helene comes in. She creates bespoke itineraries to suit your needs, enabling you to experience and appreciate the full spectrum of art and architecture the city has to offer.
Helene teaches adults and children about paintings, works on paper, architecture and three-dimensional art. Using her knowledge of the city and art history, she leads clients through museums, exhibition previews at auction houses and galleries of all genres.

Helene Lowenfels is a native New Yorker who has always taken advantage of the city’s best art venues. Visiting exhibitions with friends and family, writing about art and architecture, and conducting art historical research have always been her passions.
Helene graduated Magna Cum Laude from Brandeis University with a B.A. in Art History and a concentration in Studio Art. She spent the majority of her four years at Brandeis working at the Rose Art Museum- famous for its collection of 20th Century American Art. While at the Rose, Helene gave tours of both the rotating exhibitions and the museum’s permanent holdings.
Professionally, Helene has worked in all facets of the New York City art world. She began her career at Christie’s Auction House, served as Registrar at an American paintings gallery on 57th street, and was a cataloger and researcher at a prominent works on paper gallery on Manhattan’s Madison Avenue. When she is not giving tours or spending time with her 8 year old daughter, Helene is a freelance graphic designer, works with Ronald McDonald House Charities of New York and the Lighthouse Guild, and volunteers at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in the Digital Department.
