The world's two premiere auction houses, Christie’s and Sotheby’s, both have locations in New York City. Christie’s is housed in the heart of midtown in Rockefeller Center and Sotheby's is currently on the Upper East Side nestled on York Avenue, however, it is due to open a new location on Madison Avenue sometime in 2025. Each House hosts museum quality exhibition previews that are open to the public for several days prior to an auction.  These previews are constantly changing - no week at either auction house looks the same which makes them very exciting places to visit.
